Work Based Learning

Work-based learning (WBL) provides more opportunities for workers to earn income while gaining critical job skills. The positive impact on workers, employers, and the economy is substantial through effective work-based learning programs. Types of WBL include Registered Apprenticeship Programs, Pre-Apprenticeship Programs, Work Experience and Internships, Transitional Jobs, On-the-Job Training, Customized Training, and Incumbent Worker Training. This forum will illustrate the differences between the WBL opportunities while highlighting local WBL opportunities.
